Our Process & Services
Below you will find each step we take in our milling process, along with the different services that we currently offer.
Step One
E-Z Out Tree Service
Our process will usually begin with our sister company, EZ Out Tree Service. Whether you need our usual tree removal services, storm clean up, or even pruning. Our company can help you.
Step Two
Milling
Once a log is selected, it is inspected and strategically cut to maximize both quality and yield. The milling process transforms raw timber into custom lumber, slabs, or beams while preserving the unique grain and natural beauty of each piece of wood.
Step Three
Drying
After milling, the lumber is stacked and dried to allow moisture to gradually leave the wood. Proper drying is an important step that helps preserve the integrity of the lumber while reducing the risk of warping, cracking, or shrinking over time.
Step Four
Into The Kiln
The lumber is then kiln dried in a controlled environment to remove remaining moisture and prepare the wood for long-lasting use.
Step Five
To The Barn
The dried wood is then moved to our barn where they are added to our inventory. We also add a flattening service if needed for whatever you choose.
At the end of it all if you are in need of delivery, we offer that as well!
